India Once Again Commits Aggression, 12 Drones Shot Down: Pakistan Army Spokesperson

Islamabad (May 8, 2025):
Pakistan Army Spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has confirmed that India once again violated Pakistani airspace on the night between May 7 and 8, launching a fresh wave of aggression by sending 12 HARP drones into various Pakistani cities.

In a media briefing by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), it was revealed that Pakistan’s armed forces swiftly intercepted and shot down all 12 hostile drones.

“The Indian drones were targeted and destroyed near Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Attock, Bahawalpur, Mianow, Chhor, and Karachi,” said Lt. Gen. Chaudhry.

Casualties Reported

The military spokesperson also confirmed that 4 Pakistan Army soldiers sustained injuries during a drone attack in Lahore, while a civilian was martyred and several others injured in Mianow.

ISPR emphasized that such provocations are a blatant act of open aggression and warned that Pakistan reserves the right to respond decisively to any future violations.

Tensions Escalating Across the Border

This latest escalation comes amid an already volatile situation following cross-border strikes, aircraft shootdowns, and civilian casualties over recent days, with both nations accusing each other of unprovoked military actions.

Pakistan's leadership has vowed to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs, while also engaging international allies and diplomatic channels to prevent further escalation.
