China Warns Middle East Will Be ‘First to Suffer’ If Israel-Iran Conflict Escalates - Bio Points News
China urges de-escalation in Israel-Iran conflict, warning that continued hostilities could devastate the Middle East. Beijing calls for return to dialogue.
Beijing —
Amid growing fears of a full-blown regional war, China has issued a strong warning regarding the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, emphasizing that further escalation will gravely impact the Middle East.
Speaking at a livestreamed press conference in Beijing, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Guo Jiakun expressed deep concern over Israel’s recent strikes on Iran, calling for immediate de-escalation.
“We are deeply concerned about Israel’s attacks on Iran which cause abrupt escalation of military conflict,” Guo said.
Call for Restraint and Dialogue
Guo urged all involved parties to take swift action to reduce tensions and return to the path of diplomacy.
“We call on parties to immediately take measures to ease the tensions … prevent the region from falling into greater turmoil, and create conditions for returning to the right track for solving through dialogue and consultation,” he stated.
This statement comes as missile strikes and military operations escalate across Tehran, Kermanshah, and other strategic areas in Iran. With Israeli jets targeting key Iranian infrastructure and Iran vowing a retaliatory response, the regional situation remains highly volatile.
Beijing’s Warning: “Middle East Will Be First to Suffer”
In a clear message to global powers and regional actors, Guo highlighted the direct impact of war on the Middle East:
“If the conflict between Israel and Iran continues to escalate, or even enlarge, the Middle Eastern countries will be the first to suffer.”
Beijing’s position reflects its broader foreign policy objective of stability through dialogue, especially as China seeks to expand its diplomatic and economic ties across the Middle East.
Global Response Growing
China joins a growing list of countries calling for restraint. Iran has already submitted a letter to the UN Security Council, demanding action against what it calls “unlawful aggression” by Israel. Meanwhile, the United States has remained firm in its support of Israel, although it has reportedly refused to participate in direct strikes on Iran.
With military confrontations increasing and diplomacy faltering, China’s appeal may serve as a critical signal to both regional and global actors: the time to de-escalate is now.
