Sanam Chaudhry Says She Might Return to Acting — But Only with a Hijab and Purposeful Roles

LAHORE: After years away from the limelight, former actress Sanam Chaudhry has sparked excitement among fans by hinting at a possible return to showbiz — but under specific conditions that align with her personal and spiritual journey.

During an interactive Q&A session on Instagram, one of her 2.6 million followers asked if she would consider acting again while wearing a hijab. Her response was clear and heartfelt:

“If there’s a project that brings people closer to Allah and allows me to stay within my values, I would consider returning — with a full hijab.”

Fans Welcome the Idea of a Purposeful Comeback

Her statement has received a wave of support across social media, with fans applauding her decision to prioritize meaningful content over glamour.

“This kind of return could be an inspiration for the industry,” commented one user.
“We need more roles that reflect real values,” said another.

From Stardom to Spirituality

Sanam Chaudhry was once one of the most sought-after faces on Pakistani television, known for her innocent charm, strong screen presence, and memorable performances in hit dramas. But a few years ago, she stepped away from acting to focus on her marriage, motherhood, and a deep personal journey toward faith.

She is now married to singer Somi Chauhan and is a proud mother of two. Her social media is filled with Islamic reflections, Quranic teachings, and heartfelt messages, connecting deeply with a wide audience seeking spiritual content.

A New Chapter in the Making?

While Sanam hasn’t confirmed any specific project yet, her openness to returning with boundaries suggests a new kind of acting career — one that bridges art, modesty, and purpose. For fans of faith-inspired media, this could mark a refreshing shift in the Pakistani entertainment landscape.

Whether or not she accepts a future role, one thing is clear — Sanam Chaudhry is choosing to live and, potentially, act on her own terms.
