Zara Larsson Wants to Team Up with Tate McRae for a Musical Collaboration
Swedish pop star Zara Larsson expresses her desire to collaborate with Tate McRae, calling her “so talented” during an interview at Capital’s Summertime Ball 2025.
🎶 Music fans, brace yourselves — a pop collaboration we didn’t know we needed might just be on the cards!
Swedish sensation Zara Larsson, known for her powerhouse vocals and fierce stage presence, has revealed she’d love to team up with Tate McRae, the Canadian hitmaker behind chart-toppers like “exes” and “Greedy.”
Speaking backstage at Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard at Wembley Stadium, Zara told BANG Showbiz that she is genuinely inspired by Tate’s music.
“I would love to collaborate with Tate,” Zara gushed. “What if we do this [Summertime Ball] on tour and make a joint album? I really would [love to collaborate with her]. I think she's so talented.”
The 27-year-old artist is currently supporting McRae on her Miss Possessive tour, and it seems the vibe between the two is not just musical — but also motivational.
💃 Dance Moves and Dedication
Zara, who’s no stranger to energetic performances herself, says that Tate’s “danceable” sound has pushed her to up her game when it comes to choreography.
“I love her music, I love the fact it's so danceable, and it's something that inspires me a lot. So, I'm definitely going to be getting into the dance studio and rehearsing for the tour,” she shared enthusiastically.
The idea of two pop queens collaborating on stage — and maybe even on a track or album — is already causing a buzz among fans on social media.
👑 From Talent Show Star to Positive Judge?
Zara also reflected on her own journey from winning Talang (Sweden’s Got Talent) to potentially becoming a judge on a talent show someday. But there's one catch: she doesn’t want to hurt any feelings.
“Never say never. Maybe I would be a judge on a show like that. I think that would be quite fun,” she said.
“But I like to be nice. I don't want to tell anyone they're not good. So, I would just be the positive one, probably.”
With a reputation for authenticity and kindness, it’s easy to imagine Zara as the uplifting judge everyone roots for.
🔮 What’s Next?
While there’s no official confirmation yet of a Tate-Zara collab, both artists seem to be riding a creative high. The Miss Possessive Tour is expected to be a visual and musical spectacle, and fans are hoping the chemistry between these two stars results in a chart-topping anthem.
Stay tuned — pop magic might just be on the way. 🎧💥
