Iranian Foreign Ministry Labels Israeli Attacks ‘Crimes Against Humanity’ Bio Points News
Iranian Foreign Ministry accuses Israel of committing crimes against humanity, urging global action and a binding UN resolution in response to ongoing attacks.
Tehran, June 13, 2025 — The Iranian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Israeli strikes on Iran, calling the attacks “not a war against a country, but against humanity.”
Speaking at a press briefing in Tehran, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei said the Israeli actions defy international law and should be recognized globally as criminal behavior initiated by a “Zionist entity.”
“It is a belligerence initiated by a criminal group, defying the international community and international law,” Baghaei stated in translated remarks.
Call for International Action
Baghaei urged the international community, especially “friendly countries,” to press for a binding UN resolution condemning Israel’s actions.
“All those who believe in peaceful co-living and international law must act to end these brutal, ruthless crimes,” he said.
The spokesperson emphasized that Israel’s behavior constitutes an “utter violation of international law,” demanding swift diplomatic and legal action by global powers and international institutions.
Widening Fallout of Iran-Israel Conflict
This statement follows a series of intensified attacks by Israel inside Iranian territory, including strikes on Tehran, resulting in the deaths of top Iranian commanders and reportedly over 200 civilians, according to Iran’s Health Ministry.
Iran has threatened to withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty if sanctions are pursued by Western powers, and has vowed retaliatory operations until “the elimination of the Zionist regime.”
The region remains on high alert, with escalations from Yemeni Houthis, Israeli missile strikes, and increasing tensions involving the United States and NATO allies.
